There has to be an alternative to oil. We have spent so much time and money making oil our main source of energy and resources. If scientists can come up with a way to make clothing with oil, cotton, silk and hemp, I know for a fact that we can put our minds together to create a beautiful Earth for the children. It will take a lot of work. Lets face it, it already took us a lot of work to create a society solely dependent on oil. This is only the beginning for me and my awakening for the protection of our fresh water sources. I have seen the devastation an oil spill causes when I went to Valdez, Alaska. There are still oil pockets on the shore and the spill happened in 1989. I am not a "liberal", I am a realist who was awoken to the fact that something needs to change regarding these cooperation's and big oil companies. #nodapl
